Casa Romantica Re-Opening Guidelines as of Friday, May 22

We are open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 AM – 4 PM. Admission fee is $5, made via contactless payment.

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens considers the safety of its staff and guests as its top priority. The reopening of the gardens on May 22, 2020, follows the guidelines provided by the state of California.

Social distancing and capacity limits

• Garden capacity is limited to a maximum of 20 guests at one time (maximum of 40 guests per hour). Hand counters at entry will tally the number of visitors each hour, capping occupancy needed to maintain occupancy limit.

• Outdoor garden areas are open but buildings are closed except designated restrooms which are frequently cleaned and disinfected per CDC guidelines.

• There is a one-way circulation system in place to maintain 6-foot minimum distancing on pathways. Confined spaces without sufficient room to social distance are closed for the safety of our guests.
• Entrance to the garden is through the main entryway, or the “Keyhole Door” Entrance, and egress will be via north Office/Administrative door. Signs will assist guests in the progression through the garden.
• Groups are restricted to no more than 10 persons, self-guided tours only (maps are provided).

Enhanced Sanitation & Hygiene Protocols

• Restrooms will be disinfected hourly. Soap stocked in all restrooms.
• Hand sanitizing stations with clear signage are installed at entrance and exit, and along the garden path at several intervals.

• The cost of admission to the gardens is $5, and all transactions made will be contactless, either by visitors placing cash directly into a designated Donation Box or by paying by card using a self-input chip/contactless smartphone reader.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Visitors are required to wear face coverings at all times per CDC guidelines.
• Staff are required to wear face coverings per CDC guidelines when working near other staff and in public areas.
• Clear plastic sneeze guards are added to shield staff and guests at the entrance and greeter station.
