San Clemente, CA – Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is pleased to announce that award-winning ensemble Mt. San Antonio College Chamber Singers will perform at Casa Romantica on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 7pm. The 40-voice chamber choir, led by conductor Bruce Rogers, has been the recipient of numerous national and international prizes around the world in its 23-year tenure.
The ‘Mt. Sac’ Chamber Singers are known for their eloquent blending of sound – brilliant tone, virtuosity and imagination encompassing a range of classic and recent works.
“The Mt. San Antonio College Chamber Singers are one of those rare groups that can perform an eclectic and difficult selection of pieces with striking fluency,” says Casa Romantica Executive Director Berenika Schmitz. “Casa Romantica is proud to bring this internationally-recognized ensemble to new and veteran classical music patrons in Orange County.”
The ensemble received more awards than any choir in the history of the competition at the 2007 International Musical Eisteddfod Competition in Wales. They won three first prize awards at the 2003 Grand Prix Choir Competition in Bulgaria, three first place awards at the 2011 American International Choral Competition in the USA, and two platinum medals at the 2012 Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships in China.
