Free with general admission

Exhibition runs from June 9, 2017 – August 13, 2017

Rebecca Louise Law is an installation artist based in London who is best-known for artworks created with natural materials, namely flora. Law is passionate about natural change and preservation, allowing her work to evolve as nature takes its course.

Casa Romantica has commissioned Ms. Law to create a stunningly unique art installation. With the help of Rebecca Louise Law’s artistic voice, our Casa Coastal original installation will educate the community about California native and drought-tolerant plants. As a community hub for inspiration, it is important that we set an example with responsible landscaping choices. It is our duty to show the community that California native and drought-tolerant plants not only benefit the environment, but also are beautiful enough to be considered art.

This will be the first time such a major installation piece will be commissioned in south Orange County.

Patrons are encouraged to visit the gallery several times during the course of the summer, since the exhibition wil change as each bloom follows its own life cycle and drying pattern.

8,000 blooms have been grown by Casa Romantica volunteers and by home gardeners all throughout Orange County since October 2016 to prepare for the exhibition.
