"The Ethnic and Artistic Sources that Inspired the Spanish
Colonial Architecture of Southern California"
Dr. Elizabeth McMillian, author and Art Historian

Have you ever wondered about the colorful geometric tiles of Moorish inspiration that enhance so many buildings in southern California? On June 4, Dr. Elizabeth McMillian, Professor of Art History, University of Southern California, will speak on the influences that helped develop the Spanish Colonial Architecture so widely represented in southern California.

With more than 25 years in publishing, Dr. McMillian is author of the books Beach Houses from Malibu to Laguna, Casa De California and Living on the Water, and is former Architectural Editor of "Architectural Digest".

Opening Night Reception: Pressing Matters Exhibiton

Summer Stomp

Invite your friends and join us for a midsummer’s night party in the most enchanting setting in San Clemente. Summer Stomp is an opportunity for you to picnic in the beautiful grounds of Casa Romantica while enjoying music and dancing under the stars. So bring your picnic dinner and beverages – the Casa will provide the music and place to stomp the night away!

Tickets $30 per person or $300 for a table of ten.
Guests are to bring their own picnic.
